Six levels, each priced in what it actually buys an artist. Commit online in under a minute and an invoice follows with payment instructions. No payment is taken on this page.
Ticket and bar revenue cover the cost of producing the evening. Sponsorships and donations go to the Fund, which opens to applicants in January 2027.
The A to Z Fund makes grants of $500 to start a project, $1,000 to continue one, and $2,000 to finish one. Every level below is measured against that.
| Amount | Level | What it funds | Recognition |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | Founding Partner | Ten artists at Start it, or two projects carried from start to finish. | Named in all event materials and in our press outreach |
| $2,500 | Founding Roots | Five artists at Start it, or two projects continued and one started. | Named in all event materials and in our press outreach |
| $1,500 | Routemaker | Three artists at Start it. | Named in all event materials and in our press outreach |
| $1,000 | Wayfinder | One Continue it grant, in full. | Named in event materials |
| $500 | Community Builder | One Start it grant, in full. | Named in event materials |
| $250 | Friend of the Arts | Half of a Start it grant. | Named in event materials |
Grants are decided by a review panel against published criteria. Sponsors and donors never choose or influence who is funded, and every artist documents how the money was spent. That separation is the point, and it is not negotiable.

A Thousand WordZ is fiscally sponsored by Indigo Arts Alliance, a 501(c)(3). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and gifts are made to Indigo Arts Alliance on behalf of the A to Z Fund. Payment instructions come with your invoice.
The evening itself is paid for by ticket sales and bar revenue. Sponsorships and donations are not spent on the room, the sound, or the musicians. They go to artists.
